I have been writing since I was a about thirteen. I started out experimenting with different forms of poetry, not sure exactly why. My poems became like a journal, when my day was over I would write based on my emotions and experiences.
I never considered doing anything with my big binder full of poems, besides keeping them hidden from prying eyes. One day while on Facebook, I saw an advertisement for a poetry contest. Never considering I would make much from it, I submitted the only one I had with me ("Dear John"). Imagine my surprise when I received a letter saying I had won a spot in the book Stars In Our Hearts.
Now I write for myself and on request for others. I also am dabbling with several short stories and novels. I do not know what the future holds, I only know my goal: To touch hearts and encourage others.
This website is to advertise my writings until I can finish the preparations needed to print my first volume of poetry. I have also added some other stuff to make the site more interesting and add some flair with my creations.
